Someone needs to whack all these threads about the fans. You can't stop people from leaving early.

I left early and am ashamed of it. I had a pretty bad cold went to the game and it got worse. I felt really terrible and wasn't even really watching the game anymore. First game I've left early in 6 years.

at least youre ashamed....makes you better than so many of them that love the bragging rights, but not the sacrifice.

Wow, thats just the tip of the iceburg.
Talk about a bad year for LSU fans...PR wise....
First the national media makes the LSU fanbase look mentally challenged..regarding the whole Saban week.
Then the booing the freshman quarterback, when in fact, he is STILL going to be the quarterback for the rest of the season...
Now ...the leaving the stadium early, only to miss the biggest comeback in school history????
Ouch....Rough year for the LSU fans.

it really has gotten out of control...I was in Natchez yesterday...Someone seen my LSU sticker on the back...said "Did you leave the game early?"
Crazy...

i think it is unreal how much lsu fans hate each other this year. i have been going to games for a looong time but i have never seen the lsu fanbase so divided. its like a war between those who stay and those who leave early. let it go people! we are all cheering for the same team here, am i right?? if you stay for the whole game, good for you! you are a great tiger fan. if you leave early, then that is your decision and hopefully you have a good excuse for it. i just think it is out of line when lsu fans start fighting and cursing each other out (which i saw many times this saturday). i just dont understand why it has to be like this... why cant we all just get along!! hahaha

I agree. The pissing match and holier than thou shite is getting old. They rip everyone then bitch about how bad the fanbase looks, because the answer to division is clearly tearing everyone down.

spoken like people who leave early and tear down the team whenever possible.
I love the pissing match. I think its appropriate and any bad reputation the LSU fans have ISNT due to the fans that STAY and support the team through the bad AND the good.
Truth is fans that stay ARE better...much, much better.

So you would rather have alot of fighting in the fanbase and look even worse? Nice.

I would rather the pathetic part of our fanbase correct its behavior

Leaving Early? I wasn't at the game, but heard that most folks had left before LSU's comeback.
Well, hell yes. Leaving when your team is down 31-3 is the only polite thing to do. To stay, and watch them be humiliated, is by any measure indecent and wrong. As Plato says, when you see a tragic scene, there is a temptation to want to gawk and gloat, but morality demands that we move on. The same is true of traffic accidents. If you see an accident with the ambulance present, is it not morally reprehensible to stop and stare, to gain pleasure for the victims misery?
That the LSU team redeemed themselves is certainly noble and worth note, but nothing but praise should be heaped upon those who left early. Any injury was suffered by the leavers, so they did no harm to anyone else.
