It's tough going from Ron Cooper to Corey Raymond. Big drop off there. Part of the current problem is DB position coaching, which will be confirmed this week in Athens.
You are correct there is a difference between the two coaches in term of their styles...Coop tend to allow his players a bit of free reign trusting the players instinct which is why you had the kind of play out of Peterson, Mathieu and Reid during the 2010-11...Raymond does not allow that which explains the bit of a drop off of Reid's play last year...These DB's will not leave the design scheme

You should coach football, you really know your stuff. I'm impressed with your knowledge and lingo. Seriously. Really.

I'm not excited about it, but I'm a realist. a team doesn't all of the sudden learn how to tackle, get off blocks, play basic situational coverages in one week---against a much better offense than we faced last week
Maybe we are using the same approach as the offense in holding back. We did not open the Defensive Playbook yet!! Just Vanilla at this point...

If our safeties play that poorly, then just put them in the box and let our corners work. At least we stop Gurley and the Ga RB's. No, but put one safety close to the line and the other opposite from where J Mills is playing and let Mills do his thing

Four losses right? That's what you think? Please tell me, what in the frick has any of those four teams showed you so far throughout this season that proves they will beat LSU? Georgia this week. Have you been watching the games? Do you know who the one team in college football that lost more elite defensive talent than LSU is? The University of Georgia. They have given up 89 pts in 3 games. They were just in a tie with North Texas midway through the 3rd qtr this past weekend. LSU will score on them at will. LSU will be favored in this game and should be. Did you see Jeremy Hill play this weekend? Did you see how well the O-line played in the 1st half. We RAN OVER Auburn, right down there frickin throat. We will do the same thing this weekend. Georgia is not stout enough in the middle. Texas A&M has allowed 114 pts in 4 games in which 3 of the opponents were SMU, Sam Houston and Rice. Will they stop LSU's run game. Will there defense ever be able to get off the field when we ram it down there throat as well? Johnny fricking Football cant do much when he's sitting on the sideline can he? They arent as good as they were last yr and LSU is better and we play them at home. If we shut down Evans in that game, we should be able to do exactly what Bama did. We have a considerably better secondary than Bama does so this is definitely tangible. We will more than likely let Tre White play man on him all night and roll a safety over the top. We have enough speed to handle JFF and his scrambling abilities, exactly like we did last year.
