without any question whatsoever, the PK was the MVP.
He made FG's that most team in college don't even attempt...56 and 57 yards I think. That was 6 pts other teams don't get, and are punting, and that was the winning margin. He also kicked the winning FG at 47 yds. He was the best at his position in the clutch that I saw this year.
Going forward I believe there will be many top teams play close games and whoever has the best PKer, will win.
I hope LSU gets the best available, and punter also, if our present punter is leaving.

It was co-MVP between Lane Kiffin and Weiss.

No, PK is a selfless position that gets no glory! You gotta give it to Chambliss on offense and Perkins on defense for that 4th down strip sack.

Without that kicker, OM loses....and there can be very little argument against that, regardless of any strip sacks, or passes completed. They would have all fallen short of victory with that PKer. Just my opinion, but I do think it is correct.

98% win expectancy says OM would have won regardless… they looked to be the better team overall and stats back it up.

UGA got the no-call facemask which was basically a turnover and multiple ticky tack PIs late to make it closer than it was.

PK was a stud tho what a beast.

That kicker was clutch. I’ve kicked 57 yarders before, but those kicks would’ve cleared from 65.

The fact that he stayed on the field and didn’t pull the GW kick after Kirby iced him and spiked his adrenaline was remarkable. Ice water in veins and laser focused, beautiful strike and ball flight as well. Dude is going to kill it in the pros.
