I agree with plan C (RS) much more than Lee. Everyone keeps saying he cant throw but we truly have never seen him throw a pass. Also if we were to run an option type offense with him at Qb, his passing would not need to be great. I just think RS is the best option. Not sure why everyone is on the Lee bandwagon

I seemed to remember after Lee playing shitty against LA Tech he didn't do badly against Bama.
First, Lee played in Bama the week before the Tech game. People think he went into the Tech game cold, but he didn't.

Second, Lee's stats in the Bama were horrendous.

Lee went 4 for 10 (40%) for 44 yards with 1 interception and 2 sacks.

Dude you sound stupider every time you post. You are comparing FL who was number 4 in total defense to La Tech.

What makes people think Gary Crowton has any ability to develop a QB?

Hmmmmmmm.

Is there a material difference between Florida and La. Tech that is relevant to this discussion?

Florida had the 4th ranked Scoring Defense in 2009. Florida played in the SEC and went to the SECCG. That seems to be pretty good.

Louisiana Tech had the 61st ranked Scoring Defense in 2009. Tech played in the WAC and lost twice as many games as they won. That does not seem to be very good.

so Ryan Periloux and Zach Lee had nothing to do with our lack of QB talent here right?

Yes you are correct. Neither of them have anything to do with the fact that two QBs that have been in this system for 3 years are unable to thrive in that system. Or the fact that no other QBs have been brought in to replace these two QBs.

What we have is two inconsistent QB's who are up and down. All anyone is saying is that when one obviously doesn't have "his stuff" to borrow a baseball term, put the other guy in and see if he can create a spark on the offense.

I think that Les is going to always use JJ when we are in the lead and JL when we need to come from behind. JJ reacts too slowly to lead a team from behind and JL makes too many mistakes to secure a lead. At least I hope that is what Miles is thinking by saying he is waiting for the right situation to insert JL.

Most fans just want to put in the hot hand when things bog down, even with a small lead. I can't say that I don't like that strategy better myself. We will have to see how the team and coaches react when we get behind in a game to know for sure.

It's difficult to blame Ryan Perrilloux or Zach Lee for the QB problems this year. 2008 and 2009, sure. But not 2010.

OUr D and ST are good for 14-21 points per game. maybe more.

That sounds embellished but its not. We routinely get prime field position on PR and 3 and out on D. Our kick coverage pins teams back and then 3 and out and they punt to us giving us the ball near mid field.

Plus the long KO returns. Plus PP7 TD returns on PUnts. Plus Turnovers deep in enemy territory.

If we could get just a couple of TD drives or big plays from the offense we should score 30-35 per game.

What i'm saying is JL wouldn't have been any less effective against Florida than JJ.

It wouldn't have mattered who was quarterbacking against FL last year, we would have lost. They were better.

1 interception vs west Virginia should have been caught. Also one of Lee's two passes could have easily been intercepted bc of the slant being thrown so far behind but TT made a great catch.

I'm with the other guy that was saying about how Lee could play when we are behind and Jefferson when we are ahead.

I think we have a championship defense and special teams. Kind of reminds me of Nebraska.

Miles can't just say out loud "The qb's stink. We made a mistake recruiting them. Jefferson is to careful and slow with reads and Lee can't handle the pressure." That would destroy the confidence of the entire team.
