Perfectly clear... better team + tougher schedule = same record
...then a bowl game where we maul our opponent!

I can't help but wonder if Saban or Meyers loses a couple, if the posters on this board would consider them as being stupid. It has happened and is going to happen again. Even the best are not perfect all of the time. If and when LSU wins everything again, will coach Miles be attacked, when we go through another tough time. 5 and 3 and a Capitol 1 bowl would have been great 10 years ago. These young ignorant punks are driving me crazy.

You guys can sit here and speculate on whether our record will the same, better or worse this year. But you guys are no different than the sports writers in their "on paper" speculations. I feel the team is hungry and flying under the radar this year. I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'm going to wait and see how we play before I criticize any players or coaches.
But here's to hoping for a good year. Win or lose it all, I'll be here year after year just looking forward to the opportunity to see the purple and gold play.

It's a dry time for college sports and some here are bored and they love to bitch more than any woman I have ever known.
We haven't even started fall practice, we have about 30 new players, new coaches, and older, stronger, more experienced hold overs, but some want to be sure to tell us not to expect better because they have have been thinking a long time and they have it all figured out.
Some funny shite.

What's funny is that it's not us younguns spewing all this crap. It's the 30-50 range who have nothing better to do but try an be this badass persona because in the real world their nothing more than men who have seen failure a number of times and this team is the only thing keeping them alive.
Sad and pathetic, I know.
On to the subject, JJ is more experienced and committed to becoming a leader, stepping into the pocket , and reading defenses better.
Barksdale, Blackwell, J Dwork, Lonergan, and Hurst are going to be better than:
an injured Ciron Black, a small fry Tbob(at his position) a just not good lineman in Hitt, a light weight in JD(saw that he's gained about 20lbs), and finally Bark has a year of experience.
almost all of them are over 300, no new line scheme to learn, also I think the Big Cat drill will probably get them more agreesive before and during gametime.
Stevan "The Tank" Ridley is a strong bruiser with shifty moves that can set a tone in the first game and you have a back in Ford that can basically drag you to the endzone. "Dick" Murphy is coming back 100% healthy, and do you really believe his knee will blow out again? We have a number of fullbacks so hopefully one of them can stick like glue this year to keep Brandon "The Beast" Worle redshirted.
WRs are just the fricking shite. We have Shepard training specifically as a WR. He is going to be a 15 yard slant guy with loads of YAC. The Black Bomber Terrance T is going to be getting a lot of yards downfield because he is physical, fast, and fights for the ball. Randle will be Mr. Sticky Hands as he will trap anything that happen to come his way. Then you got another speed guy in Chris T and Murphy and Ridley will provide dump offs when we send everybody else 25+ yards down field. And don't forget our secret weapon Deangelo, aka "Off teh Grid" Peterson, who will take the nation by suprise and create dangerous matchups against anybody.
laugh if you want but i'm predicting JJ with a 230+ 2TD game(at least) against Bama because they are very weak at the secondary.
Oh and

I've read that Moffit was sick the last couple years. With him back full time, the guys are setting all kinds of records in the weight room. I think that says something real good about the team's focus and dedication during the offseason while guys at Tenn are getting in bar brawls. I can attest. Not that I was some beast in the weight room or on the field, but with alot of hard work during the off season between my sophomore and junior years, I cracked the starting line up. I know u guys don't give a shite. But I see it as a great sign.

Three new starters on the offensive line with Barksdale moved to left tackle and he should be significantly better than an injured Black was last year. Plus Dworaczyk is stronger and significantly bigger as he now weighs in at 307 pounds and with everyone else at 300 pounds or more, means that run blocking, which was practically non-existent last year, should be significantly improved, along with pass blocking. We also have three 5 stars receivers starting with another one that just barely missed being a 5 star as the 4th receiver, and a freak at tight end in DeAngelo Peterson, who should be able to outrun any linebackers and overmatch any safeties. As for as the running backs go, we should be very solid in that department, and JJ should be more experienced.
Then on defense we are expected to be not only much faster overall and especially off the ends but also significantly better overall. Meaning more 3 and outs, along with more turnovers.
Hence, if we don’t win at least 10 or 11 games this year, then you will have to put it on the coaches. Anyway, there is no way that we are going to finish 4th in the West, and if we do then Miles must go.

I totally agree. LSU won't finish behind AreKansas.

BASH me all you want. BUT this team hasn't given me any reason that they will come out with what they need. A SMACK-YOU-IN-THEMOUTH type attitude.
Every offseason I get cautiously optimistic. I still am, just not as much as in previous years but a couple of good games out of the gate can change my mind. Not making up my mind one way or another til I see a few games. Could be improved, maybe not. Doesn't do a lot of good worrying about it.

I didn't skim over it, I just didn't buy it. Elite programs reload and make no excuses. Programs that are no longer there are also reloading, but do make excuses.
