For those of you who sat in the nosebleeds, was the wind bad up there? That's all they could talk about on TV.

It was on and off. At the end of the game, when most of the Ags left in my section, there was a huge gust that lasted for about 30 seconds. It was blowing popcorn, napkins, empty water bottles, cups, etc all over the place

The new stadium in 2014 will change that... Closed in and around 100k... Completely redoing Kyle. I thought the crowd was tame but 11 am can do that...

I had a great time in College Station as well. I think it was more because of the people I was with rather than CS being just an awesome place. I had a good time at the game, but the crowd was very unimpressive and the 12th Man is vastly overrated. It may have been because I was sitting on the sideline 15 yards behind the endzone, but it was pretty quiet for the most part. There were a few times when the crowd got loud, but there were also a few times the entire stadium was eerily quiet. After the game was a lot of fun because we won, my friend was doing his ring dunk, and my dream girl surprised me by driving into CS from Houston
I'd call the trip a success, but it was due to the people I was with rather than the mediocre stadium atmosphere.

When A&M had the ball, you could hear a pin drop.

Interesting stuff. Sounds like for the most part, y'all had fun. Good.
Regarding the stadium logistics, all the complaints are 100% valid. But they're each bring addressed by populous. We renovate in 2014.
Regarding the noise, if you sat in the 500s or 300s, you were probably unimpressed. Same goes for 100, 102, and 147-149.
The lack of noise at those locations is a product of the stadium's design--which will also be addressed in 2014.
Glad to hear the trip went well. Enjoyed having a lot of passionate LSU fans. It's refreshing after dealing with the Big 12 fan bases.

After reading this thread it sounds like they need to torch KF and start over.

Overall I had a blast. Everyone was really nice (too nice), and enjoyed my short visit. The one big negative without a doubt is I prefer not to stand and be surrounded by animal feces. The smell in the upper concourse was absolutely revolting and I can't imagine how sanitary it can be. Cant believe people buy food while smelling that! But overall, it was fun.

They are definitely a weird group with all the excessive pageantry, hand signals, lengthy monotonic chants, "Howdy", etc. Most were very nice, though.
I wasn't really impressed with the atmosphere at Kyle Field. I wonder if the openness of their stadium structure affects the acoustics and doesn't "contain" the crowd noise like Tiger Stadium does. The food at the stadium was above average, though.
The campus isn't really that aesthetic and very spread out.

Huh, are you sure you were at the game? Maybe it was the wind direction or something but that MF was as loud as anyplace...

I will probably try to make a trip to CS when we go back to play in a couple of years. Sounds nice to be in an atmosphere where everyone if passionate about their schools/teams but not to the point of being obnoxious.
Anyone can be an a-hole. It takes something more to show class. I have been to a couple of schools that definitely DON'T have the class thing down just yet.

I was sitting in 205. This is not my first kyle field game, I'm married to an aggie and have been to several. I thought they were loud for this one. Although, the third quarter i think everyone was taking a nap. it is just a different kind of loud. Even when something bad happens their ahhhs seem to even be organized. They end at the same time, if that makes any sense. In between the cheers though it is very quiet, but when the milkmen lead a cheer and when thwy are on defense it is very loud.
I enjoyed myself at this one just like I have in the past. Really wish this one wouldn't have been at 11.

I thought the same shite as well.
I felt like all the noise came from the A&M student section sideline. I sat in an all Ags section and nobody around me did any of the cheers except for the war hymn and the one where everyone bends over and starts singin. They only started yelling and making noise on 3rd downs

Had a great first trip, was very different and hard to relate to many of their ways. I thought the noise was loud and I was in lower section opposite side of students. North gate area with the bars was a cool place! Lsu fans took over Friday night.

I was in 109 13 rows from the field..it was loud but not top 5 sec
Still behind auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU and Tennessee from my perspective.
I was impressed with their tailgating and atmosphere....and north gate is a blast.

Future tips. Sit in the endzone first deck if you can ever get tickets there. They are all arm chair seats, easy in, easy out, wide concourses, lots of new restrooms and big concdssion areas.
)
Parking for the knuckel head complaining about parking and was too lazy to read any free parking information provided. There are thousands of parking spots around the George Bush Librbary and a free bus runs every five minutes dropping you two blocks from the stadium. 90% of visitors park there. Very easy. There is also a free shuttle from the mall.
I had three new Orleans friends come in for the game. They were blown away by row friendly everyone was and at the amount of tailgating.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think if you look closely enough over to the left, you can see El Paso...
