I do think the heat played a factor in the win

WVU players especially pitchers looked fatigued even in the early innings. WV climate is much more like the upper Midwest because of the altitude. These guys aren’t used to this kind of heat. Supposed to be another hot June day in Baton Rouge tomorrow

It certainly did. Their starting pitcher was struggling with the heat.

Somewhat, but their pen is worse than ours.

I’ve been in WV the last couple of weeks. The temps have been pleasant and even chili at times. Got to be a factor

I had to change out a light today at work and it was unbearable.

Sitting by our dugout and heard Curiel tell Coach coming into dugout that it was ‘f’n hot out there.’

I believe it did. Talked to a couple WVU fans in the stands as it looked like they were struggling. Said this is hot! Mentioned their hot is 88deg in dead of summer. We gave their bull pen hell, few guys struggled and over threw the. catcher by a few feet multiple times. Def had an affect

i think wv head coach was saving his pitchers, and using middle to low level relievers, and another poster thinks same, and it is all due to our heat and humidity… our conditions are at least one level higher in heat and humidity than anything they play in at home… we all know how our h/h conditions can affect even other sec teams, so there is no doubt at all how it will affect teams from higher altitudes, cooler temps, lower humidity… and tomorrow they have to throw the book at us, everything they have, because they can… not… lose. THEY HAVE TO WIN!!!... so, WE have to be READY!… there is no telling what they will throw at us… and because we can throw anthony eyanson at them, their desperation factor could be, probably is, off the charts… so we must be ready!… and it is a GREAT weekend for dogpiles!!!… already seen coastal go a-piling at auburn… looked like fun… and if we dogpile tomorrow, WE ARE AT BOX!!!!!!!…
