It's less about NIL and more about potential earning in the NFL, I think. He knows he would make more at LT, and he wants to play LT, and ge might be a great LT.....but Will Campbell is better, and as long as Campbell is there Heard has to play a different position and stunt his potential future play/earnings. I think it's less about the money now and instead about setting himself up for the future. These are hard decisions and he probably has many voices in his ear. I hope he stays...but I'm also not going to crap on a kid for making a decision that he feels is best for him and his future.

First off he is determined to play left tackle! He can not beat Campbell out not happening.

Showing NFL scouts you can play both right and left tackle enhances your draft stock. Don’t know who is advising this young man

Yes. LTs make hundreds of millions. Guards are a dime a dozen.
