No, I blame Ryan Perrilloux.
We had a hard time recruiting QBs because no one wanted to compete with him. Then Perrilloux got booted off the team before the 2008 season. That's when Andrew Hatch's injury forced us to start Redshirt freshman Jarrett Lee. Lee had 7 interceptions returned for touchdowns and was often booed. Les Miles was never the same after this. This is when the offense got boring, because Miles wouldn't let his QBs throw into any kind of danger. The stagnant offense has held us back ever since.
So yeah... I blame Perrilloux.
