We have a terribly spoiled fan base. I know coaches that would give their right nut to be here and appreciate these ugly wins.

Lets hire them!

Why does this post get a sticky? As much as we are told not to say this about a player, or make your messages meaningful, this meaningless message gets a sticky.

Mr. Chicken, if you are hired as LSU's new HC, will you hire me to oversee the Tiger Rant in your abscence? I can have this place in tip top shape in no time.

I recall many moons ago when Bear Bryant made the remark that he could probably coach some of Charlie McClendon's teams via radio from on of the offshore oil rigs and still win the national title.

Urban myths that need to be shattered before the LSU fan base can have a realistic appreciation of what it takes to coach a winning football program here:

1. Louisiana, produces raw football talent that is significantly superior to that of most or all other states.
2. The LSU fanbase is the most passionate, vocal, knowledgeable, supportive fanbase in the country.
3. Tiger Stadium is downright intimidating to any opponent who plays in it.
4. The Golden Band from Tigerland is the best, or even one of the 10 best, college bands in the country.
5. The LSU student section is the most effective "12th man" in college football.
6. Given Nos. 1-5, above, any fool should be able to produce a consistent top 5 football team.

Chicken here is what you must do from the start. JL is the starting QB when needed you replace him with #10 and let him run the option or pass or what ever he thinks he can do.

That will take care of the offence.

Chaves has your back.

I spit my drink out when I read that. I kept thinking if the term booger eating moron doesn't apply to Les Miles then it doesn't apply to anyone.

to leeh -

ok - helllooooo! why in the hell would jarrett lee be anything "starting"? he made 2 good passes, had 2 interceptions, has horrible time clock mgmt (he got 1/2 as many false starts as snaps he took, & he wants to run to the line of scrimmage, then pass over it cause he's too afraid to run any further less he be tackled)! good god! his passes are lobs!
