I am tired of Oregon, I have watched them in 3 big games recently against, auburn, lsu, and stanford, respectively, and they have yet to impress me.

Football is about the dudes in the trenches. they don't get the hype or the Heisman, but the WINs are almost always in the favor of the teams with the baddest line be it OL or DL. Try RB without a hole or great QB passer with no OL to block for him spells disaster either way.

agreed, that's why Stanford won, Stanford's Dline dominated that game.

That and they dominated the Oregon slots where they couldn't set the edge.

You guys really need to quit whining and maybe learn more about your supposed favorite sport. Football is abut scoring points when you're on offense. The spread creates more mismatches and opportunities for teams who may not have the defense to stop other teams consistantly. Teams with good defenses run more to preserve their D and make less mistakes. Not sure why all you jackasses keep using the word "gimmicky" as if west coast or veer offenses are gimmick free. You do what works in battle. Get over it

I coached twenty years, went to Clinics and learned from some of the greatest College and Pro Coaches ever. Guess I wasted a lot of my time. Why the hell weren't you around when I needed you to clear things up for me and all the other Coaches?

No one runs these offenses in the pros any more. The NFL coordinators force you to take the underneath dunk routes and then they beat the shite out of your WRs. TAMU's offense wouldn't last a few weeks in the NFL and the QB would be in the hospital.

Well then you of all people should have learned to accept change by now. 30 years ago Bill Walsh revolutionized the passing game. My question: do you remember the people that thought it was cheap and gimmicky to run the west coast offense?

Well good thing TXAM isn't a pro team. It doesn't work in the pros bc of speed, not the fact that its a "gimmicky" offense.

The same people who bitch about gimmicky offenses are the same ones should probably bitch about lsu's conservative offense.

If those offenses don't work against good defenses like lsu's, what's the problem? That's a good thing for us.
