If Les really wanted to score last night at the end, Scott would have been given the ball and we we would have scored no doubt.
Keiland's got more speed but in tough yardage situations I'd take Scott each and every time.

I don't ever like to run it up.

In this case, it was a one possession game. Smart thing to do, run the clock.

"Seriously, no one will remember 10 yrs from now who had a classy football team and who didn't."

Definitely NOT true......you remember Spurrier for the crap he did, don't you??? What kind of rep does he have now?? Apparently you remember by wanting to run up the score to get back at him

Reverse the roles and the Old Ball Coach would have hung 7 on us in a heartbeat.

style points may count with the human poll voters to an extent, but they don't with the computer polls which are somewhat of a hedge in that regard.

if we can win out, we are definately in the national championship with a penn state loss and probably in with a texas loss.

Wake up? You do realize that the same people that would have supposedly been "oohed and ahhed" at LSU winning by one more td over South Carolina on the road are the ones that noticed LSU got BLOWN the frick out last weekend, which takes priority over anything else LSU does this year, right? You need to wake up and realize that at this point, all LSU needs to do is win and somehow meet up with Florida in the SECCG and beat them to gain some redemption back. The margin of doing the wrong thing is not enough at this point. Had LSU lost by a td or less last week, you have a point. But at this point, 7 points isn't going to help with the 30 point arse kicking from last week with style points.

I think LSU should have ran it in for a TD just because one of USC's TD was given to them and

With the Polls and BCS first standings coming out today would have helped just a little.

Like Florida's Coach had said in the past we had just under 3 minutes on the clock this is football try and stop us if you don't want us scoring.

We won that game by 7 points when it really should have been by 14pts.

It wasn't like we were winning by 30 points.

Funny how we got beat by an unranked team and we are steadily moving up the polls. All we have to do is keeping blowing teams out and voters will forget about that lost. It’s all about making a statement every week.

Sincerely,

SC

If you think for one second that LSU will ever get the same treatment that USC is given, you are pissing in the wind. I'm surprised you haven't figured that out by now.

All week long LSU was portrayed as weak, soft & overrated. We punched them in the mouth in the 2nd half and we should have crushed them at the end.

I'm just going to agree to disagree. One thing we can both agree on though, is that I'm hoping to see a bunch of pouting Georgia fans next Saturday after the game.

Is there really a debate on this?

I'm not debating anybody, but I'll just post my thoughts.

Screw style points. Screw pollsters. I don't give 2 shits about the National Championship.

News Flash: 14 point win against an unranked team is NOT STYLISH in any stretch of the imagination. Take the knee and a win.

I'll commend it, as long as you don't bitch when LSU is left out as the third 1 loss team for the BCSNC.

What will you say when USC, who lost to a CRAPHOLE OSU team, edges out LSU who lost on the road to Top 10 UF team, squeaks past LSU for the #2 spot?

Right this minute, about 50 writers and coaches who DID NOT SEE THE GAME, are reading ESPN's headlines that say:

1- LSU ekes out at 24-17 win (over 5-2 SC)

2- USC lights em up!!! (over 1-7 Wash)

Who do you think they are voting higher???

By the way, it was Washington State.

South Carolina >>>>> Washington State

Virginia Tech was still on some voters' radars last season, despite the 41-point loss to LSU. The 30-point loss to Florida is going to resonate with voters at the end of the season more than a 7-point, road win against South Carolina.

Ohio State is still being talked about, and they struggled to beat Ohio. The final score of that one was a 12-point difference.

Comparing USC to LSU and who would be voted higher is pretty pointless. USC lost by six on the road to Oregon State, and since then, they've come back with relentless urgency and destroyed opponents. Of course they're going to be voted higher right now. If we knock off Georgia and Alabama convincingly, and win out the remainder of the season, SEC CG included--preferably over Florida-- then we've done all we can do. Not to mention they destroyed Ohio State. They've also registered a few shutouts which is always more impressive.

People like the system and how it works now, but if we get snubbed, they'll be bitching about a playoff system needing to be in place. I see it happen all too often; people contradict themselves left and right, and if LSU isn't getting a rim job from every voter in the country, they're unhappy.

I agree about taking the knee. I hate to see a coach like Pete Carrol take his team and abuse a high school program like he played yesterday. It's nice to know that some class still exists in football.
