After moving up to N. Illinois 20 years ago, I could see myself pulling for Wisconsin or Iowa. Have met several people from both schools are they are good people. Plus, went to the Wisky-LSU game at Lambeau and the Wisky fans were great.

These are all schools for young people. These schools happen to have football programs. Why not enjoy the sport of it, without much regard for any particular school?
Were you ever a student at the school? Did you graduate from that school? Exactly how many years removed are you from being a student at said school?
Do you zealously follow your high school football team? Do you watch every game of your high school football team?
What about your Pop Warner or NORD Playground football team? Do you watch all of their games and get upset when they lose?
If not, why not?
Exactly WHAT drives your fandom of ANY school's football team? Ask yourself, do your attentions in this department make any logical sense? Keep in mind, we are talking about schools that educate the young adult, and exist for the purpose of educating the young adults. Maybe root for the academic prowess instead of the athletic prowess?
