A full offseason working at the Star (box safety) position would do wonders for Perkins, imo. If he takes time to learn that free range position instead of trying to fit a square peg into a round hole at MLB, he could live up to the hype.

I think Perk would be best suited to drop 5-10 pounds, get quicker, become a true safety. He can still be a first rounder doing that, and would still allow him to have flexibility blitzing. He’s solid in coverage, and I think he has an opportunity to get quicker over the summer
