Saban doesn't have any glaring weakness in his game, but his run defense is a lot better than his pass defense.

LSU losses to Saban were due mostly to our low scoring, our lack of success on offense. But LSU defenses usually performed well against Sabama.

Teams that put 30 or 40 points on Saban did it thru the air mostly. Texa&m Johnny Football Manziel, Ole Miss teams coached by Hugh Freeze, scored big against Alabama. So, it can be done. A&M and ole Miss proved it.

The secret to scoring success against bama is a quick QB who can slip tackles and turn a busted play into a good gain like ole miss and a&m did it.

Saban teams are highly disciplined which works well for them as long as their opponent is predictable. But it gives Saban fits when the opposing QB improvises, makes passes that Saban didn't prepare to defend, and turns busted pass plays into completions.

Les Miles relied heavily on his all too predictable ground game. A predictable ground game is the recipe for a low score loss to Alabama. Miles proved that over and over.

Matt Canada needs to call pass plays about 60% of the time, or more, to put many points on Saban.

If Miles Brennan is mobile, quick, a good scrambler, good at improvising, then Canada should start Brennan in the bama game.

If Canada doesnt have a QB and an offense like that, LSU scoring will be somewhere between low and zero. Les Miles proved that so many times that it got him fired.

Etling is well suited to some games, but against bama he would probably be in sack city. Slipping tackles, scrambling until a receiver gets open, isn't in Etling's bag of tricks.

This game is why Canada was hired. To score points and create confusion for defenses. Let's see what happens

Win the point of attack, win the game. We'll do neither against Bama, but I no longer allow that game to define my percpective on the season.

Brilliant. Start the LSU QB of the future , before he is ready, his very first start, against Alabama, on the road . And put your 5th year senior on the bench .

Ugh.

Be able to consistently complete passes 10+ yds beyond the line of scrimmage. I don't care how good LSU's run game is, they're not going to run the ball against Bama. A lot of NFL teams would struggle running the ball against that defense.

We won't be ready for bama. See the Ile miss game, when in a fight we still run with a jet sweep mixed in. We need a Qb that can get outside the pocket and make a play.

He's not immobile bit I feel you dont really understand his game.

Starting him at bama for his 1st start would be flat out assinine
