Even if it's not working. How long until miles lets JJ "leterrip".

I think first he will test the run D of bama for a couple of drives. I don't like this either. but it will happen. I wish we would come out like we did agaist au.

I hope crowton continues to improve on jj getting rid of the ball quickly also.

that will be huge.

Auburn was at home so that makes a difference, but I think he'll open it up a little more seeing as how being conservative killed us against UF.

If we can keep their defense off balance, then I think we'll move the ball.

Me neither. It'll be a replay of the Florida game.

He better not try it long. I think he will just use the run enough to keep our defense honest but I think he will have to go to the passing game to be successful on offense.

I am sick to my stomach with nerves over this game.

If we can't run at some point though, we'll lose. If we abandon the run early that's fine, but the pass has to be effective in opening the run and we have to run it effectively when(if) that happens. If we can't run at all, it's over.

why? I am excited sure. I also have to work til 3. I am thinking about wearing earplugs so i cant hear people saying the score, then i can go home and watch it from the begining.

but maybe it would be better just to turn on the radio and see how bad it is. Or good?

JJ on the road???? against the bama d?

How can that be? Haven't you heard? Now that Les Miles doesnt have Saban's players this should be a piece of cake for you guys. LSU is not relevant anymore...It's UF and Bama baby. Havent you heard?

Did we pass alot in the second half of the uf game? If we try to do it late out of desperation, then to much is being put on jj's shoulders.

better mix in the passing with the running early.

I would be happy with 60% passing.

This quote by Miles makes me think we'll see JJ holding onto the ball too long again and taking needless sacks.
quote:

It's going to be a low scoring game. You have to be smart. They're a very opportunistic defense. You've got to throw it where they ain't and have ball security when running it."

I think he plays too tight as it is. I understand we don't want the pick 6's we saw last year, but at some point a QB has to relax and play. He's not likely to find any WR's running free and clear this week. Tough throws will be need to be made.

We only had 47 plays in the UF game, and that is what hurt us along with the fact they had a 13 minute advantage in time of possession.

We rushed for only 66 yards. If you take out JJ's 5 sacks, which all happened in the second half, then we get 97 yards on 25 carries or 3.88 ypc.

What's interesting to note is that in both the UGA and UF games, only one sack was given up in the first half of either game, and we actually got around the 1st half sack against UGA.

In both games, however, LSU gave up 10 sacks in the second half of both of those games. 7 of those 10 sacks came on LSU's first two drives on the second half, so from what I am gathering, it seems teams were figuring out our blocking schemes at halftime, and our offense wasn't making ANY adjustments out of the half.

Hopefully this will change against Bama.

Somewhere between a smidge and a plethora. Book it.
