Look to see teams stacking 9 men in the box against the LSU offense on a regular basis.

Les: We very much anticipate and truly enjoy implementing an offense that emphasizes the run and the pass, with the will and want to do both, simultaneously, especially in situations that demand we run with aggression and throw with precision.

I fricking hope so.

We will dominate if teams put 9 in the box against us. We have talent at WR and NASTY talent at TE with Desean.

Add that to the fact AJ is very accurate and can move outside the pocket to create open receivers, we would go undefeated if teams put 9 in the box every game

If Rivers wins the QB spot,

LOL..you really think the spot is open to competition? As always, Les has his mind set and any and all verbiage leading up to his announcing the starter is just to keep people off his back.

Yes I really do. Who the heck are you to say it isn't going to be an open competition? Based on what? Are you Les Miles or Cam Cameron? Sure Miles may have his favorite in mind by far, but you think Miles brought Cameron all the way here just so that Cam can play whoever Miles' favorite QB is? To say it won't be an open competition in the spring is just non-sense. Cam is the QB coach in charge for the offense now and has the final say in who will be starting.

Camerban never would have pulled Lee for no good reason after the 8-0 start.
He would've been a tard like yourself not to pull any QB throwing at 30% int rate.
I would've liked to have seen Lee featured some to keep Richt and Saban guessing, but trust coaches judgement over somebody who's prolly never been to a single open LSU practice.

The offense was out of synch the rest of the season with the other QB
That out of sync O had a 3 game stretch of the highest ydg/point totals of the season and just had the unlucky draw of playing against top 5 FBS Ds in 3 of 6 games.
Lee had his limitations as well as that "other QB" vs really good defense.

Would liked to have seen Jarrett Lee as the starter for four years being coached by Cam. Oh, what could have been!
I'm sure with proper QB coaching both would've been much better.

For the sake of argument, let's say that it's a really close battle for #1 between Rivers, Harris, and Jennings - and in the end Rivers is just a tad bit better. Do the coaches start Rivers or get a head start on the future with Jennings or Harris?

Unlikely, yet thought provoking.

uhh, ok...Now I know you don't have a clue about this. Did you see the bowl game? If you don't think that offense had Les written all over it, then you haven't watched LSU much in the last 5 years.

Les Miles knows right now who he will start barring injury, make book on that!

Hard to say...but if we think we're going to run it 50 times a game...gonna make for a long season. Teams will simply stack the box and shut LF down. I don't care how good the kid is, he can't take on 9/10 every play in the box.
We have to have some semblance of an effective passing game....and I personally think we will be more balanced than what most people would believe.
