We won't be as good as we were the past two years, but we have plenty of hosses to take LSU down with. We won't be competing for a championship like LSU will be, but we can certainly take you out of the race.

Ole Miss will have a very good defense this year. Yall may not score into the double digits, but then again...you may not have to.

That was against our worst defensive line this decade...

I wouldn't exactly call that a win.

We've wiped the floor with your team two years in a row

426-290 yards of offense last year
and 409-215 the year before.

Of course Nutt doesn't have Dex, Felix, or McFadden this year either.

Somebody always steps up for a Houston Nutt offense. Back in 2008 Dex was a slightly above average SEC player. Mike Wallace and Jevan Snead stepped up and ran carried the offense. In 2009 Wallace graduated, Jevan Snead played like Jarret Lee and Dexter McCluster and Shay Hodge stepped up to lead the offense. Somebody always steps up for Houston Nutt to lead the offense. His two losing seasons were because of defense. A problem that will never happen at Ole Miss as long as Ty Nix is our DC.

foolish comment to make. I lived in Arkansas during his entire career there and all the fans did was gripe about what a terrible coach he was. He was the genius that barely used Dex the first half of the year, he ran off a great OC he had because he wouldn't just bow down to him, and he ruined Cedric Cobb's career with stubborn play calling. Don't pretend you know Nutt just because he coached your team for 2 years.

We had two down years and you guys got the win, congrats. When you return to the cellar where you belong this year we'll see how much nonsense you are talking then.

our OC has seen better days, but he still set LSU records for offense in 2007 when we won the NC. Something Nutt or probably any coach on your team has ever done.

yup, just like none of those players with ankle injuries will be back this year.

Can't wait to see that D of yours with 1 or 2 returning starters

I thought Alabama was returning a good bit of their defensive starters?

Dex was 5'8" and 165 lbs. How do you blame Nutt for not playing him at RB when he was much safer at WR. Dexter had season ending injuries in both his freshman and sophomore years from returning kickoffs.

The guy was too small to start as an every down running back. It's a complete miracle that he didn't get injured more than he did this year(Auburn intentionally injured him, knocking him out of that game) We had to sit Dex on the bench during our OOC games so that he could heal.

Anyone who doesn't think that admiral ackbar would make a great mascot has none of my respect.

They shouldn't have been a threat the last two years, either. If you think they aren't a threat to beat us this year, you're fooling yourself.

How many power rushing teams will we actually play this year?

They don't have to be a super power rushing team like Alabama. Anybody with any kind of half-decent running game will run all over us. But yes, Alabama will obviously pose the biggest threat to our small, thin defensive front.
quote:

We can just stack the line on Bama since our secondary should be lock down by then.

That only works on teams that can't pass at all...like LSU last year.

They have Noel Devine who is a hell of a running back and will feed him the ball 15-18 time against us. Maybe more.

More. It'll be a helluva day for our defense if we hold him to under 120 yards.

it jus seems no matter the record's, the hype, the rankings, the LSU/OLE PISS game is usually a tuff game both ways

Our 4 win 2006 team took your LSU team to OT in BR. If your team doesn't take us seriously they will lose with Nutt as our coach.
