I predict that regardless of what happens with Hill tonight, someone will lost it.

Did'nt Hill play a couple downs already? Thought for sure I saw him as fullback either the UW game or the NT game.

This is his second year. If he was a true freshman I'd understand, but he could leave after next year. If he's that good, he needs to play IMO.

Uh no. He is a true fresh

But he is 2 years removed from his senior year in high school, which is what matters for the draft.

So he has 5 years to play 4, but can go pro after 2.

His eligibility starts when he enrolled in his first college course of any kind, not when he graduates high school. You can be 30 years old and go play college ball if you have never taken a college class.

Edit: this applies to his college eligibility. Not sure about draft status.

Unless there was ever hope of him becoming a 5th year senior at LSU, the redshirt issue is not relevant.

IDK why you people don't understand. I've explained this to several people on here. His eligibility starts when he enrolled in his first college course of any kind, not when he graduates high school.

No. Any individual is eligible for the NFL Draft, regardless of their current collegiate status, three years following their HS graduation.

You're probably right about the draft. IDK much about the NFL, but I know for sure what I said earlier applies to a college athletes eligibility.

You can go pro after your freshman year if you are 30! If he wants to go pro it is pointless to redshirt him. He wants to go pro.

This. Matters not that he's a true freshman. He can go pro after next year. Fact.

Did you just not read what I typed at all?

"he is 2 years removed from his senior year in high school, which is what matters for the draft. So he has 5 years to play 4, but can go pro after 2."

Yes, Hill technically could still be eligible at LSU in 2016, as a 23 year old. But that would mean he elected to skip the 2014, 2015, and 2016 NFL drafts. With the short shelf life of an NFL RB, no legit RB is going to put off going pro for 3 extra years. Understand?

This. Which is why it makes NO sense to RS RBs. If they're that good, they'll go pro anyway. If they're not, then we're not having this conversation anyway.
