Sure he can be better. He was put in a position last season that i would not want to be in.Gotta remember this kid was a RS freshman. That being said he will continue to grow and mature. I wish the kid the best, because it took balls to do what was thrown on him.

fixed it

I totally disagree! While I think that Shep and Garret are great talents, there is no substitute for experience. How many QB's go through a whole season without getting some kind of injury. The ones who both run and throw take a lot of hits.

stafford is a dumb QB with bad instincts who tries to force throws that he should never attempt.

Are you laughing at a multi-millionaire? I guess the GM of the team that drafted him doesn't like his job.

haha, yeah cause there hasn't been a history of 1st round draft pick QB's that are busts or anything...

Doc the onlu reason that Stafford was brought us is because he didn't exactly set the world on fire when he first got his chance to start. He did get better, so much better, that he was the first QB taken in this years draft, and there were some high profile guys at that position to choose from. Why can't people understand that he is still very young and is learning. How old was Matt Mauck and Matt Flynn when they earned the right to start? And why am I wasting my time trying to explain something to a kid who loves LSU basher.

He doesn't have the mental makeup.

He makes too many bad decisions, isn't very accurate and I just don't think he's mentally smart enough. This isn't Matt Ryan trying to work without a supporting cast. This is a team in Georgia that has underperformed for pretty much his entire tenure there. I don't think he'll be more than an average NFL.

you people are obsessed with Lee.

JJ is our starter and as a true freshman clearly outplayed JL.

On the other hand it does appear JL is our 2nd QB
I simply don't beleave he is a div 1a QB.

If he has to play LSU is in trouble.

RS may not have progressed enough to be 2nd but will be next year.

if jamarcus russell doesn't go to the NFL draft as the #1 overall pick, Flynn never starts the 2007.

He assuredly will get better, but the real question is, will it matter?

Which doesn't say much for Flynn since Russell makes too many bad decisions, isn't very accurate and I just don't think he's mentally smart enough.

I feel very confident he'll get better. I'd bet on it.

That answered the initial question, didn't it?

isn't very accurate

had a better completion % than flynn

had more yards, more TD's, and was taken as the #1 draft pick...
