That are not here to witness this epic chapter in LSU football history.

Reflecting more on my 9 year old getting to witness what may arguably be the greatest season in LSU history.

PS: I'm making sure he enjoys/appreciates every moment.

Me & my wife were driving to Baton Rouge from Houston 2 years ago for the A&M game when my sister called and said my Dad was not doing well. As you can guess that was on my mind during the game. After we returned, my Dad passed away 2 days later. He was 95, but mentally was as sharp as ever. For the last 15 years of his life I don't think he ever went out without one of his LSU caps. He was a diehard Tiger fanatic and took me to my first LSU game in 1966. Through all those years we shared a love for LSU sports. I can't tell you how difficult it has been this season for him not to be with me sharing this magical season...I am starting to feel tears in my eyes writing this wishing so much he was still here!

I don't always see eye-to-eye with everyone on tRant. But as someone who lives 1,000+ miles away from almost every LSU fan he knows, I'm reading these posts with a Louisiana-sized lump in my throat.

Edit, not an appropriate joke after reading the thread.

Family was all huge LSU fans. I remember watching the 2012 championship game with my Dad when we got beat by Bama. He died in April of that year.. LSU football is more than just a game to a lot of people, including myself
