I don't hate him, I'll always appreciate his time here. He stepped up to the NFL with a poor departure, but this is common for ambitious College coaches. It didn't work out (which is also common) and stepped back. Now he is a guy in the way.

What I hate are his Lolita's that infect some of the P&G.

frick that guy he beat us in the NC game while coaching for a rival SEC school. He can die in a fire. I don't see why anyone else would feel different!

After enduring the 90's I never thought 2003 was possible...so that is why I don't hate him. And without 2003 I don't think we win another in 2007.

Hey! I never met the man so can't say anything about him from personal experience. I would like to beat the living hell out of his team. Whoop them so bad that he cries on TV at the post game interview. Other than that...don't hate him.

I used to dislike him bc I saw it as a slap in the face! I admire the man's accomplishments now and I realize that he had speedster himself from the other coaches by out working them. He is the ultimate preparer. When miles farts and Saban whiffs it, he tells miles, "you ate pizza" and proceeds to tell him all the toppings! Miles should be grateful he built this train that has allowed him to be the all time "winningest" coach at LSU as many pumpers remind me of every day while Bama fans remind me every day that this will be three consecutive crystal balls and four in five seasons. I can only smile when my Bama friends tell me that when they look at the schedule they only worry about LSU, the train that Saban built.

I really do hate saban. I have a number of reasons....hes a liar. He is arrogant, and coaches for the gumps. He mocked and made fun of Lousiana people after he left for Miami. He never had a kind word to say to our players during the championship run of 03, over and over again you would see him on the sidelines cussing and screaming at players- the same players thatwon him a championship. There is a long list of reasons to dislike little nicky.

Why?

Serious question.

When he was at LSU and had to meet the "LSU Standard", he only had ONE season where he lost less than 3 games.

ONE.

And he's lost to UAB and ULM. Miles would never do that.

I dislike him. I've met him and I know people who have worked for him and there is no reason to go through life treating everyone around you poorly. I hate that he is at Alabama, I hate that that management style actually works.

I respect him as a coach, and I'm grateful for what he helped to accomplish at LSU.

While I wished he hadn't left when he did, I actually was pulling for him to succeed in the NFL as it felt like it would also be a win for LSU.

However, when he willing courted and eventually took a college coaching job at not only an SEC program but an SEC WEST program, I hoped he'd get crotch rot...real bad.
My thoughts to a tee. He could have gone anywhere he wanted.

I knew him and he was a prick, absolutely. Not as bad as John Brady, however.

Regardless, it "works" when you have a lot of help. Saban gets a lot of help off the field. He needs every bit of it too.

As a fan and someone who was affiliated with LSU as I was in the past, Miles is a much better face of the program overall. He's good to everyone around him, he is loyal, and he is a family man. There is MUCH more to life than being handed National Championships.

Here lies the problem I have with our fanbase! This is hogwash! He is given way to much credit!

He tried to come back to LSU when he left Miami but we told him to take a hike since Miles was under contract. We signed our own death warrant in this instance so it is kind of hard to justify any hatred toward him.

It's silly to hate Saban. He didn't leave us for another college, he went to the NFL. Spurrier did it too. That's not a knock on us, he just wanted to try the pro game. When that failed (as with Spurrier), he went back to college, and the best job available at that time was Alabama. Spurrier did the same thing by going to South Carolina. I have a lot of UF buddies and NONE OF THEM hate Spurrier. They love the guy. And I love Saban for what he did for LSU (and I'd take him back in a heartbeat).

Please explain how this is hogwash. In my lifetime LSU was never relevant in football. Sure we were known as having a tough stadium to play in and we beat some good teams over the years but we were never elite. Saban comes in and takes our program to a level i never thought i would see at LSU but he gets too much credit? Who should get the credit?

Saban is a shrimp of a person and completely ate up with short man disease. This explains why he is such an a-hole!!!
