How long does Loston have left to get cleared?

Before the date passes where he can't enroll at LSU for the fall?
How can the clearinghouse sit on something like this when a young man is awaiting their decision to get into college??

Oh, ok.
Well in that case...

All of these guys will have their fate decided soon. Either they'll be in or have to try again. I can't recall a guy getting cleared in the middle of September or anything like that.

Whatever the last day of late registration.

Wasn't Keiland Williams cleared really late?

In Loston's case, what does "trying again" entail?
Can he sit out of school a semester and enroll in the spring with his scholarship intact? Or does he have to go JUCO if he doesn't get cleared?
(I really suck at remembering these rules).
I guess I'm wondering...if Loston DOESN'T get cleared by 8/4 (or whatever the date is), what happens between him and LSU?
I don't mind him not playing this year (he's hurt anyway), but I will have a conniption fit if he never plays at LSU.

I think that these are very unlikely scenarios because everyone except Tahj Jones has a very strong chance of getting cleared and joining the team soon.
I forget what happened with Keiland, but he was still able to join the team before kickoff (but he may have missed some practices).
If anyone doesn't get cleared, they can do various things. They can go to JUCO, they can retake standardized tests and/or high school classes to get a higher score, etc. Rockey Duplessis chose the second option and was ready to enroll in January. I believe that Clemmons (the kid who transferred a few months ago) and Harry Coleman went the exact same route.

So given this, and given the fact that Loston probably wasn't going to play most of this year anyway (due to injury), do I have nothing to worry about?
ETA: JUCO would be the worst thing, but I can't imagine why he'd go that route. If he retakes and makes it in the spring, then he's still got 5 seasons to play 4.

I'm not sure why you think he'll have to retake any tests or classes. He's already being reviewed by the Clearinghouse, and the coaches expect everyone to be cleared soon.
But yeah, if the coaches are wrong and he isn't eligible, he will most likely choose the Duplessis route and try to enroll in January, which gives him 5 to play 4.
