Your list teaches us a valuable lesson. Awards should be given after the bowls.

No disrespect intended but you must have some other motive than saying he hasn't improved.

Like or hate the guy, you can't ignore what he's accomplished.

I was as frustrated as everyone else in the 1/9 game but that's 1 game. Yes, I know, it was the game to finish what is still a stellar year and like any other Tiger fan, I wanted that 3rd crystal football but that's been over. You can hold that over his head for however long, that's you're prerogative, but once again, you have to give credit when it's due. He has improved. For the life of me I can't fathom how you can say he hasn't.

Oh I know. It's crazy how many really hate the guy. I don't get it. I honestly do not get it.

Do I get annoyed, frustrated with him at times? Sure. But to just despise the guy, it makes no sense.

The question was, How has Miles improved as a coach? It's my opinion he hasn't. I don't think he's significantly better now than he was when he started.

I again point out the coaching in the NC game. It was joke, a bad joke. Where were the adjustments in the game? When things weren't working, play after play after play after play, what changes were made? I'm not talking about just the failure to change quarterbacks, but the whole game management. LSU had 92 yards, 92 YARDS and 5 FIRST DOWNS for the entire game!!

Has Miles improved ad a coach. No, he hasn't and the NC game is a glaring example of that.

It's because he isn't saban. People act like saban never fricked up... Miles doesn't lose to scrubs. People tend to forget the flaws saban had while at LSU. He is a better coach now, as is miles. People didn't like saban then either. I just think some fans are destined to be miserable. The way people pick apart every little thing on here makes me think that they simply have shitty lives so criticize the shite out of everyone else.

*the rant in general

Not hating. Stating facts. If the awards were given on 1/10, he doesn't get coach of the year. They used to give out national titles before the bowl games too. I think they should move the awards until after the season.

If the awards are after the season then they wouldn't have anything to fill the gap between the regular season and BCSNCG. All about tha money.

So your only "fail" on his part is the NC game. This is the third time you've referred to it. Let me guess, the "clock it" thing with JJ at Ole Miss a couple years ago is the next one. Like I said, no disrespect intended but you have to be blind to not give the guy credit for what he's accomplished.

Maybe he seems to be too nice or something. "I want a prick as head coach who will get on the players and tear 'em a new one when the mess up, so they can lose to ULM."

And the 13 games before that?

Perhaps. But it still wouldn't erase the fact that he is the winningest coach in LSU football history, has a national championship to his name, another national championship appearance, 2 SEC titles to his name and is neck and neck with the all powerful Saban.

His #1 improvement IMO. He seemed to lose one game a year to an unworthy opponent before. He's really made great strides in this department.

Yes, I point to the NC game as an indicator of how much Miles has improved as a coach. If he had truly improved, he wouldn't have stayed with a game plan that most everyone could see was a failure, a quarterback that everyone could see was a failure. If he had truly improved as a coach, there would have been adjustments. Another example of the inexplicable decisions by Miles was seen in the person of Rueben Randle, one of the best receivers in college football who had 13 yards. 13 yards!! Bad decisions on his part which results in such stats are beyond reason.

Miles, while a great person, hasn't significantly improved as a coach. Not at all. And I'm afraid you'll see more of the lack of improvement in the upcoming season. I know I have no confidence anything will be any different.

I'm agreeing with you. Les got by on pure talent (which is important and he and his staff deserve credit for the players brought in) but in the game that mattered (and where the team had equal talent) he blew it. Last year LSU out-talented teams not out-coached them.

I have to respectfully disagree.

He doesn't get to the NC by mere luck.

Everything you mentioned goes into the category I brought up about me getting annoyed, frustrated with the man. I'm with you on that.

But I don't agree with your assessment, "he hasn't improved."

But we can talk about this until we're both blue in the face...... to each his own.

So you think the talent is just like they were when they were recruited out of high school?

Thought Chip Kelly was a pretty decent coach but he lost in a NC game, guess he hasn't improved either.

Who said he was the best ever? Is Coach Saban the best? 2010 IB blowing a 24 point lead? Urban? Petrino? Spurrier? Name a coach that hasn't hosed up. It's the double standard of ButthurtNation that is dishonest.
