How hard is it to break the 2-3 zone?

Well please help a layman out
It seemed to stop the LSU offense last night. Just asking how you might attack it to break it down to score.

Have shooters who can hit from the perimeter at least 50% of the time. This draws the 3&4 players out to the wing, and allows you to dish inside.

That sounds more like just shooting over the 2-3 and not attacking it.

to beat a 2-3 zone you need great passing and a good/consistent midrange or 3pt shooter.

Run set plays where you have a lot of off ball movement pass the ball. Drive penetrate and kick out. Need consistent outside shooters. You know things LSU doesn't do or have.

I'm old school... but I still feel that dribble penetration into gaps is the best way to beat a zone... make two people guard you and then the ball can begin to move. LSU, on the other hand, uses the "force field" zone offense. Pass it around the force field until the shot clock gets to 5 (at which time the force field breaks) then panic and get up a terrible shot.

Off ball movement is not really that important against zone. You can beat the 2-3 a bunch of ways. You can screen it. You can skip and pin. You can attack the high post and short corners. Attacking gaps and kicking is most important. You can also have your short corner guy play from "behind the zone".

Zones work best against teams that are not balanced and have their talent in a one or two players
It is like loading the box against a team that has no passing threat
The reality this year is just about any defense will work against LSU

quick ball movement and flash to open gaps in the zone. This is grade school stuff, but apparently not to Jones.

It always amazes me when college teams look clueless against a 2-3 zone. I enjoy watching teams play Syracuse to see how they attack it. Big East teams always had better zone offenses than teams outside the conference due to facing Syracuse. I would assume the ACC has adjusted as well.
As others have said, the way to beat it is with quick ball movement and penetration. Most zone offenses will have 3-4 guards around the perimeter and the other 1-2 forwards working around the lane.
Teams will work the ball around quickly and look to overload one side in order to get an outside shot or get it to a forward in the elbow or block area. Good teams like to play inside out and get it to a forward before kicking out for a shot or making a high low pass.
