I just find it hard to believe that our Saturday guy gets beat out this early by a JUCO transfer and a true freshman. Anythings possible though.

Could be some doghouse issues too. Coach has a big doghouse. Who knows. Back to what I am saying though--Coach did not shuffle his weekend rotation just so that Glenn would pitch against ULL. Robe did not pitch his Sunday starter yesterday so he could use him tomorrow against LSU.

Glenn's problem is that he was a little bit inconsistent last season. He had a ridiculous start but then kind of sank a bit and showed promise but was too much of an up and down guy.

I like our rotation right now especially Poche possibly being the Saturday guy

Hey Josh. You are probably right, but I am not sure.

Poche on Saturday and Glenn on Sundays.

That's my guess.

We have some good problems to have kim. Who to start at 2nd, 1st, catcher, and the 2 spot in the rotation because of all the success these guys are having. I really like poche and robertson.

My brother put on a ULL shirt to get a ticket at the game last year and got the tickets for free (for him and my dad). Then he went home and put on his LSU shirt

Yep. Quite different from a couple of years ago.

It looks like we have some new live arms and I think a few of the new guys are going to step up. Bugg has impressed me.

I have no idea what is going to happen at C and 1B. IMO Moore is so much better than the other 2 catchers at 1B. This may end up costing him the catcher position.

I mean, it's early in the season. It's not like ULL shuffled their rotation around for three weeks in preparation for just this one game.

But at least they didn't go Busch League on us and save their ace for a meaningless mid-week tilt.

This game is not meaningless to them. If they win, it will be frontpage news. I know what you are saying though. I think they started Gabriel against us midweek his senior year.

Not 3 weeks, just one week.

I mean I like the WarHawks.....but to say they are the best team in Louisiana is probably pushing it a little...

Robe didn't start Milhorn against USM because he was suffering from a little tightness in his throwing arm. He had the luxury of sitting him for an experienced lefty against a mostly left handed batting line up. Pretty easy decision when you are leading a series 2-0. Since we swept USM, I think it was a good decision. If the game is postponed to Wednesday, Milhorn won't pitch and will be saved for Sunday. Robe didn't completely alter his weekend rotation for the LSU nor will he let it affect his rotation for this weekend series.

Puhleaseeee. I can promise you both teams will play hard to win this game. State bragging rights. I can promise you, UL-Lite would hate to lose this game.

Cody Boutte was our Sunday starter last year. Milhorn is a transfer and started the second game of a double header on Saturday in opening weekend. Boutte still pitched that Sunday game.

Then Boutte pitched the Sunday game at USM. The argument could be made that Milhorn hasn't yet earned the weekend spot.

Besides, you seem pretty up in arms that we are pitching Milhorn against you tomorrow. The reality is he is one of our 4 best pitchers… What do you want us to do? Throw one of our worse pitchers and give you an easier time? Shouldn't you want to beat us with one of our best guys on the mound?

Seems to me you're making a lot of excuses already just in case we beat y'all so you can say see, I told you so, they threw one of their best guys at us! Like a whiny bitch. It's no secret where Glenn ranks among your pitching staff… I like this matchup… it's our 3rd best vs. your 2nd or 3rd best. Don't you want a game like this?

Oh I forgot, you'd rather face some rag arm and get the easy win.

I hope the game will not be moved to Wednesday, but if it is and Robe does not pitch Milhorn, then I will agree with you. I think the LSU game is more important to Robe and the ULL faithful than a Sunday game against Bama.

Do you remember an LSU win in a midweek baseball game ever making the front page of The Advocate?

YOU think that. We do not. Your inflated ego is getting in the way of rational thought.

A series win against #21 Bama would do more for our RPI than a midweek win against LSU.

When was the last time you played a fellow Top 10 opponent in a midweek game?
