as empty as the games have been they wouldve made more money hosting these games in Alex Box, definitely would have on concessions

i'm sure they get some corporate money but even the LSU game today is pretty empty. Baylor's first game was almost completely empty. didn't watch the Texas-Oklahoma game yesterday, maybe it was packed but i doubt it.

kinda disappointing that they can't fill up all these seats when tickets are dirt cheap and there have been some good games.

i may be wrong and every day has sold out. just doesnt look great on TV

LINK to Donate to LSU / Cade’s Fundraising Page

Each Honorary Captain & team has a fundraising page

There is another tournament next month with 6 Texas teams

What Amadeo said
It’s not the game that brings in the money, it’s the fans donating (guessing)

Fair question, but after listening to the interview with Alec last night, I was moved enough to go to my computer and make a donation.

Good points. Surely there’s no way that a tournament that has been held in the current format for 20 years is turning a profit.

thanks for the link. the cause is great i just wish more people showed up to the games. i get it that not every school is as hype as LSU about college baseball but you would think Houston would be able to sell 20,000 tickets to people who just wanna take their kids to watch baseball.

i guess it is travel ball season tho

i mean i'm sure the venue and everything is free so they are gonna make a decent profit. just seems like so much more could be done to expand it and bring in more eyes, raise in attendance

MMP has 42k seat capacity. Yesterday there was 11,000 at the LSU Baylor game, which is near the top of most college ballpark capacities. 11,000 people in a 42k seat park will probably look pretty crappy, but do that 9 times in a weekend and you’ve probably raised some pretty solid cash.
