We went to the stadium and stayed until the end because we couldn’t catch the end of the game on TV unless it happened to be on network TV, which was rare.

I remember those ppv games. I remember my dad paying $50 to order the LSU vs ULM game in the early 2000s lmao

Tiger vision. In the beginning we had to go to the cable company and pickup a physical part to plug in between the cable box and tv.
Was about the size of a long 12 gauge shell iirc

As a kid in the 70s I only went to 2 games - the 1977 LSU vs Rice game where we beat them 77-0 and Carlos Carson caught 5 TDs (I think). The other was against Bama in 1978. I got to see Charles Alexander but we lost.
Did not see other games in person until I got to college in 1983. Started seeing more games then because of cable and pay per view.
In the 70s, it was listening to the Tigers on the radio. Pretty sure John Ferguson was the guy.
