With bowl tie-ins, TV contracts, all of those factors, how would the SEC and a handful of other conferences pull this off? Seems like a huge pipe dream

SEC with their abundant resources can provide players with isolated environment for the season. This is in the student athlete’s best interest. Regular testing and quarantine of positives. No fans in stands and no tailgating.

Tv contracts are based on conference games so as long as you are playing conference games you are in line with them. OOC games are done separately from the conference contracts. A conference only schedule and a conference championship is very doable.

A lot of bowls just won’t happen. The CFP is its own thing and will decide based on who is playing and who is not. It may not happen as well.

It all starts with government officials not blowing a virus that is not the caliber of ebola, bubonic plague, etc to the level that it is. Life can go on if we let it, but there is some unspoken agenda that is keeping the heavy restrictions on our freedoms.

If a healthy Jamarr Chase caught this virus and DIED, I would be very concerned about public safety. However, there hasn't been one healthy, young athlete to die from this virus.

There prob wouldn’t be bowl games. At least in the structure that you know it

Mainly for PR reasons but also would be logistical nightmare trying to pull it off in a socially distanced manner.
