You seem to think the peope in the stands are the only "fans" that LSU has.

In my opinion, if "fans" are committed to the program and committed to winning, they will do the few easy thing fans can do to indirectly control the quality of the product on the field. That is actually show up at the stadium and support the team for 3 hours, 8 times a year. By either not making the commitment to even show up or by booing freshmen and leaving games at halftime, the fans are creating a very unattractive environment to play college football. The Troy game made it more difficult for Les Miles to recruit top players to LSU. Without good players, we won't beat anyone.

No offense, but you watching the game from your house in DC does very little for LSU football and Rueben Randle could care less if you grilled beef tenderloin for Tommy Casanova or played HORSE with Dalton Hilliard. If the demanding fans like you and your family expect the players and coaches to do whatever it takes to be successful, then shouldn't you and the rest of the demanding fans hold yourselves to that same level of perfection? If LSU fans want our team to compete with our rivals, we should give as much money as fans at Alabama, Florida and Georgia and we should fill the stadium, stay 4 quarters and support the team no matter the opponent. LSU fans do neither. You are doing neither.

Ticket prices have steadily gone up and frankly, the average fan can't fit the bill

We aren't competing with our past. We are competing with Alabama, Florida and Georgia today. Our ticket prices right now are still much lower than ticket prices at those schools. If our "average fan" isn't willing to fit the bill, while our rival's fans are, we have very little chance to compete with them on a consistent basis.

Right now, LSU fans are not showing the commitment it takes to sustain success.

Compared to schools like Texas, Alabama, Oklahoma and Ohio State, LSU does not have a committed fan base.

You must be young to be this much of a moron.

It takes a committed fan base to pay for that.

At least I hope you're young. It would be sad if you were older and still this stupid.

I'm pretty sure their are FAR more LSU fans than there are seats in Tiger Stadium. I'm also pretty sure that the stands are full every week, so your point is rendered completely moot.

Yeah, because of the disgusted fans. I'm sure it has nothing to do with getting dominated by TROY.

And really, I think you're throwing a hissy for no reason. One game isn't going to kill the program, regardless of whether it's the fans or team that is worse.

No offense, but you have absolutely no idea what we have done for LSU over the last 60 years. I'm REAL sorry that I'm not able to fly to Baton Rouge every weekend. Please don't judge my "fan-ness" too harshly with your lofty standards and history of close involvement with the program ALL THE WAY FROM YOUR SEAT.

Money is the least of our problems. I have no idea where you get this.

Don't judge me too harshly, oh mighty season ticket holder. I don't want to be blinded by the light of your significant, saintly contributions.

And actually, my cousins are using our tickets these days (unless I'm in town), so the clan does, in fact, continue to represent. Of course, ALL OF THE FAN SUPPORT IN THE WORLD won't be able to attract players if the coaches are morons. What's say we concentrate on that first, m'kay?
