I just watched the replay on youtube and it just hit me how clutch that hit was. We were 1 out away from being down 0-1 in the Championship series.

It was VERY clutch, just like DJ! We HAD to win Game 1, as you have to do in any short series. It puts all the pressure on your opponent.
I am rooting hard for DJ to become the next LSU player to play infield at Alex Box Northeast, errrrrrr Wrigley Field.

DJ is the man-best two strike clutch hitter who had a great series.

Imo, DJ was the MVP in this CWS. He played great defense and hit the ball very well.

He's in a great situation. Being only a sophomore, he's got all kind of leverage and if he isn't getting exactly what he wants and comes back to school, he'd have a chance to be a first rounder and still have the leverage of having another year of eligibility.
He really seems to be in a perfect situation to get exactly what he demands.

If we didn't win game 1, we could have loss the Finals due to the pitching of Jungman in the Game 2.
Thanks DJ
