This loss is on the play of Martin and Quarterman. Their play was pathetic. Not to mention it meant Malone had to play more, that's like playing 4 on 5 basketball. What a waste of space.

While I agree that you can't always control individual performance, we have to get better at protecting the basketball.

We should be blowing these teams out, but we're giving them the ball. It is amazing we're even in some of these games

But I do think as a coach you can instill a culture where they have a better respect for shot selection and the value of ball possession.

No doubt. I like the fact that he is a run and gun coach, and I also understand that is going to lead to turnovers.

With our depth, we can't run his system like he wants it run. He needs them to understand that running doesn't mean they need to play out of control. The NBA threes 5 seconds down court need to stop. We have Mickey and Martin, play it inside. I understand if they are hitting them, but when we go on cold streaks, feed it down low, draw the fouls, etc.

You're not winning any arguments comparing Jj to tom Izzo

The comparison was not of coaching ability, but of how "sets", "X&O", or "shot selection" can be dictated just as much, if not more, by player execution as by coaching.

I have never question JJ's ability to recruit cause the man has always recruited well. His ability to coach when the LSU talent begins to match up with the Kent., Duke, or Mich. St. talent will not be decided for a few yrs. yet. imo
