Bo Pelini is the primary reason why LSU lost 5 games last season. In most games, LSU's offense played well enough to win. But the defense was so incredibly piss poor LSU lost anyway.
Not to mention that Bo Pelini wasn't Ed O's guy. He was Scott Woodward's guy, recruited and hired by him. Which is why Ed O wanted everyone to know that he didn't even bother to interview him.

Really hope he pans out. He was an underwhelming hire but after listening to him in interviews I'm optimistic. There's no way we can be worse than Pelini's D. He robbed LSU. Straight up he sat on his money and didn't give a shite while he was here.

It may have been the scheme Ed O wanted, but not the outcome Ed O wanted. As Bo was actually Scott Woodward's guy who hadn't coached a defense since 2007. However, Ed O got rid of him as soon as he could once the season ended.

That's an utterly absurd comment only a mega idiot would make. Indeed, he is still butt hurt that Tom Herman wasn't hired.
Moreover, as far as I'm concerned, Ed O's private life is Ed O's private life.
However, finishing number 6 in the final AP poll in 2018 and winning a Natty with the greatest college football team in college football history in 2019 isn't good enough for this obsessed Ed O hater.

Well, he was too busy worrying about other things than interviewing coaches straight from Ed O's own mouth which he's good at sticking his foot in for.
To be fair for him though, I'd imagine I'd trust Woody too because O has struck out on several coaching hires over the years. Brady was his highlight but most of his other hires have been really bad.

The only thing worse than Pelini's defense was Coach O not interviewing him.

He didn't bother to interview Bo Pelini, you dumb mental midget, because Bo Pelini was recruited and hired by Scott Woodward and is not the coach Ed O wanted to hire, and there was nothing he could do about it until he could finally get rid of him as soon as possible and as he did.
Moreover, Matt Canada was not who Ed O wanted to hire. Canada was who Alleva sent him to go hire. Ed O said he was going to hire the best OC in America, which in Ed O's mind at the time was Lane Kiffin. However, Lane Kiffin took a head coaching job and so was no longer available, so Alleva who already had called his connections, said Matt Canada was the hot name and then sent Ed O to hire him.
Ed O always wanted a spread offense, but Canada was not a spread offense OC. Hence, that's why Ed O didn't like him almost from the very beginning.
Who else did Ed O hire that you don't like? You're obviously an obsessed hater who still can't get over the fact that Tom Herman wasn't hired. Hence, it doesn't matter how good of a job Ed O does, you will always obsessively hate and vilify him because you can't help it.

When Ed O ratted himself out and admitted that he didn't even bother to interview Bo Pelini, he did it for a reason. As he wanted everyone to know that he wasn't the one who recruited and hired Bo Pelini. As Pelini was Scott Woodward's hire and he knew there was nothing he could do about it so he didn't interview him.
Moreover, the reason why Ed O said that will never happen again, is because that was the second time since he has been the head coach at LSU that he was forced to accept a coach as a coordinator that he personally didn't want or care to hire. Matt Canada was the first one and Bo Pelini is the second one.
Meanwhile, Ed O has vowed to never let that ever happen to him again come hell or high water.

Shut up you blabbering moron. I'm a fan of O's 2019 season, but why should that be the only thing we are allowed to talk about? We just have to ignore the massive issues like they didn't even happen all because of that one season?
I didn't like the hire, but I'm also not calling for him to be fired. I just want to see the ability to sustain success.
