How about Sam Burn's 62 in The Open Today! Geaux Sam!

Sam Burns ties the all-time low round at a Major Championship with a 62 today, including a hole out from the bunker on 18 for a birdie. He has been playing really well this year and I hope he can keep up the momentum as he and his wife just had their second child on July 3 (which is why he is getting to play in The Open).
Currently tied for 3rd place at -5, with a lot of golfers left to complete their second round today.

Love how he got absolutely 0 tv time compared to Herbert while also tying a Major Championship record.

Sam Burns failed to finish better than T20 in his first 16 major championship starts. He's got top 10s in 4 of his last 9 major starts, including 2 of 3 so far in 2026, and just matched the lowest round in major history with a 62. Blossomed into a consistent presence at majors.

Something being common automatically makes it correct? That’s silly.
It was always referred to as the British Open in America until about ten to fifteen years ago. The rest of the world has always called it The Open. It annoyed the rest of the world that America wouldn’t just call it The Open, and we gave in. That is gay.

Sam needs a new agent to get him TV coverage. Hopefully, more feeds tomorrow.
