Hampton inn downtown you can walk, then try the hilton marriott downtown again walk everywhere. Red roof in off papermill Ramada my west town mall. Google hotels knoxville look at the map view and go west more food entertainment vs going anyother direction.

I asked the SEC Rant for suggestions last November: " Road Trip to Knoxville: 2011 Hotel Suggestions?."
FWIW, I'm staying at the Cumberland House Hotel, which is a Sheraton hotel very close to the stadium.

If you have some cash you're dying to spend, try Blackberry Farm in Walland. About 30 minutes from the stadium, but as a guest, you will have a Lexus convertible at your disposal. This is one of the finest resorts in the country with 5 star dining on site, blue ribbon trout stream, spa, horseback riding, hiking on the property in the smokies, etc. Also the best bourbon selection in the United States (ask for Pappy Van Wynkle). If you go with hour wife, you will earn yard passes for the next ten years.....
