Tebow was making some pretty insane throws in that game. just didn't have the supporting cast around him to pull out the win.

Municipal Park in Mobile puts out more studs than Hoover HS. (No, I am not kidding)

I have seen the 14 yr old team at Municipal Park beat a HS team (Faith) by over 40pts.

Two big time LSU players that came from there are JR and Phelon Jones. (off the top of my head)

None of the teams at Municipal Park lost a game in like 15 yrs. Then it was one team losing one game. They make players at that park!!

Mobile IMO is the most fertile area for football talent in Alabama, even more than the Birmingham metro area.

Principal Morgan? He was a vp or something at Northshore in early 90's as his wife was a teacher. Then he moved to Fountainbleau. Now he is at Hoover? He was a prick anyhow

Municipal Park is where a lot of kids play before high school. Most city parks in Mobile field teams. Phelon prob played for St. Paul's middle school and junior high teams though, but i'm not sure. He played for St. Pauls for a few years before transfering to McT

Apart from Sarah Jessica, who has come out of Hoover? I know they're a perennial power, but I can't think of any big names
The receiver that played for Florida and now plays for the Patriots-Chad...I can't remeber the last name. Help me out fellas.

You would think a 6 time 6A Alabama State champions program might produce some pretty good college talent.

not necesarily, they could just be a combination of very good players. just like we have two BCS Championships but not one guy who has yet to be a dominate force in the NFL. just very good players that play well together.

Was it two years ago John Curtis went there and beat them?
