there are a bunch of other in state schools we could play (southeastern etc...)so i guess the impact on LSU is not all that big

my question is the article says that they can't support DI athletics without the funds, does that mean they would drop down or end sports all together?

LSU system ? figured it would fit in with all the talk of universities around here cutting back funding and such. Thank god we have TAF

UNO could lose athletics

no idea if this is germans or prussian or whatever
UNO students reject fees to save athletics
only in an auburn vs alabama thread would cow density statistics come into play, classic.

re: If I was an Auburn Fan

I'm not trying to come off as an elitist or as an AU supporter (i don't know which is worse), I was just pointing out that there are more UA redneck fans. i'm not an english major and don't like to capitlize when i don't have to on the internet so i can see how i would come off as uneducated
whats also disgusting is the amount of people that purchase crimson colored vehicles to support the tahd. It seems like there are a million and for some reason, it annoys me to no end to see every other cletus in his crimson s10 or ranger cut me off on airport blvd.
12 to 1 outside of metropolitan areas, 3 to 1 in them

I'm from alabama, I've had many experiences with "bubbas" of both fan bases, but by and large the vast majority of toothless trash drinks the bear bryant kool aide as opposed to the pat dye flavor.

do you really want the support of bubba and his tooth? is that who you want representing your university to the rest of the country who assume thats what all alabama fans are like?

growing up in Mobile, it always seemed like the vast unwashed masses were tahd fans (for proof, go to the eye opening experience that is mobile "international" speedway in irvington and count the necks in crimson vs. the ones in orange, its almost 20 to 1 ((aparently dale sr. was bear bryants best friend, btw)). The auburn fans that you did see were generally grads or their 3rd cousin's husband met pat dye once and they felt like being different from the rest of the trailer park.
probably just snapping the football, but he could be.
the parents will probably get over it. more room in the double wide for the rest of the 8 kids/cousins whatever they are. I can't believe anyone is that stupid to play russian roulette, i'm with scoop.

Municipal Park is where a lot of kids play before high school. Most city parks in Mobile field teams. Phelon prob played for St. Paul's middle school and junior high teams though, but i'm not sure. He played for St. Pauls for a few years before transfering to McT

does anybody else not love the fact that we get to be the bad guys now? That video did everything but set us and Tiger Stadium to the Darth Vader star wars music.

re: Tebow said

this defense of tebow really is amazing to me. sure, he seems like a good christian kid who travels to parts of the world to help relieve their foreskin abundance. but, he does wear orange and blue on saturdays, makes out with his teammates/car thiefs, wears jorts and is all in all way too easy not to make fun of. I think some of you people need to get your panties untwisted and realize that its natural to talk a little smack about players on teams we have rivalries with.

re: D-Byrd just ran a 4.32?

Posted by igotworms on 7/18/08 at 7:04 pm to
those numbers are the average of the whole 100 meters, which is like if he ran a 40 at full stride for the whole distance. the 40 incorporates a start too
