Usually people who hate trash talk are ones who could never back it up and hate when people can. They got.scorched in high school by a trash talker and felt small and have never got over it

Or it is hated by people who grew up with morals and standards that the individual let's his play on field do the talking and then the media to hype it.
Eric Reid is a great example of one who lets his play do the talking for him and he has been a great player during his tenure at LSU. LSU of course has had many great players recently who let their play do the talking rather than engaging in social media.

Really? How can you possibly prove that?
I can only speak for my own case. I only played basketball in high school and I'll just tell you your unscientific hypothetical does not apply to this man who does not like trash talking.
I could list many other well know hypotheticals, but what's the point. I think you're defending an LSU player more than the act itself in my point. Passion often inspires us, and I understand that.

I think he gets on twitter way to much, talks way to much shite and is full of himself. But he is an lsu tiger and I am an lsu fan. Our job is to cheer on our team and support them. Not to throw them under the bus and talk shite about them on the internet. every person on here saying they hate what he says are the same people who are going to be jizzin their pants when he makes a good play and yelling his name at games.
Yeah, he does stupid shite, but he is a tiger. Just support your team and get over the shite you can't control.

I like any shite talkers. I don't care what uniform they wear. It takes balls to put yourself out there while most people hide behind safe cliches.

TigerMan, no one cheers harder than me when those kids are between the lines. I take back seat to no one. But I ain't gonna lie, the trash talking in the WVA game when our guys were getting torched pretty good, disappointed me very, very much.
And I think I'm being more respectful than Tyrann is in expressing my opinion on his manner and his tweets.
There's a difference between supporting your team and rationalizing for behavior that is quite frankly a bit embarassing just because he's a very good player for the football team I live and die with.
I would think one would hope he'd develop as a person as well as a player here and perhaps improve in that regard. That's what I'll hope for instead of saying "He can say whatever the hell he wants as long as he keeps making plays".
That just doesn't work for me.
Hopefully he can take a cue from Eric Reid or Brandon Taylor as time goes on. But certainly doesn't seem like that's gonna happen.
Nevertheless...."Geaux Tigers".

Some players are motivated by others not talking about them, some are motivated by their family, school pride, personal goals, but HB seems to be motivated by others dissing him.
