I only read the first page, what was the caller's question?

If a coach had to listen to fans, which ones would he listen to? If I'm in a room with 4 or 5 of my friends watching the game, we can't come to a consensus about things happening during the game. Coaches get payed big money to lead, not follow.

The arrogance of our fanbase is astounding.

In regards to the first caller, do feel that Les Miles has the wrong attitude toward the fanbase?

Given the silly nature that the fans have had toward Miles and his players and his coaches and friends...he is spending some of his capital.

When you are number 1 and the talk of college football you can do what you want, ask Nick, or Mack, or Pete, or Urban.

The worm will turn back soon enough, and he will have to take crap from the imbeciles.

if that is "honestly" what you think....then you are one ignorant mofo. he "honestly" said that he doesn't need the permission of the caller (ie. fanbase)to make personel decisions. how can any sane person construe that to mean "he thinks he is ABOVE the fans and the program"?

that was not an honest question and you know it. what does that say about you....honestly?

I've only listened to the show a few times since Miles has been here, and the callers are so lame and bogus and full of s*** that is an embarrassing that the head coach at LSU has to listen to that whiny crap.

I have no doubt, though, that it is the same at all programs, especially the highly successful ones like ours is.

If Miles took those callers seriously, the dude would burn our faster than a meteor crossing the night sky.

Give'em hell Miles, or better yet, don't give'em anything.

Just win Baby win.

I support Les Miles.

Les is right. That is what he gets paid for. LSU is undefeated, how can anyone question Les?

I agree with ALL of this!

Especially....

I swear when I listen to it, I often think...The poor man is underpaid....4,000,000 really isn't enough to put up with this.

Les spoke like an arrogant 10-0 coach. He better keep winning. He will re awaken a sleeping beast. It is the what have you done lately for me crowd. And many that supported him before will fall into this category. Just saying. Their was more than one way to answer this guy.

God forbid a 10-0 coach in the SEC west have some confidence in his decisions!

Apparently he doesn't have to worry about one of the sleeping crowd -since you are already awake and screaming for no reason.

Lastly No - the only way it would have been better would have been to say STFU , but I don't think Les is as impolite as that.

IF you call into a radio show just so you can hear yourself on the radio, you might be a redneck.

We win games, for the most part our kids stay out of trouble, a lot of kids graduate, and he plays young ones.

I know the JJ crap happened, but in the past years it has been few and far between.

Do some fans think they should pick who plays?

Miles is a damn good coach and an even better diplomat. If he occasionally reminds some dumbfrick how things really work, it's ok with me. More power to him.

Actually he sounded like a professional, a CEO who understands he is in charge, responsible and accountable- therefore he makes the decisions and that is final- needs no explanation.

Redneck version: I am the coach and you are the fan

You have a job and I have one. Let's not confuse that

ABOVE the fans-Agree
ABOVE the program-Disagree

Only idiots really think a coach is supposed to use their roster and playsheet.

I hope you are not serious about this question. If you think just because you buy a ticket to watch a game the coach has to listen to you, go examine your head for just even thinking about it.

This is exactly the type of mentality that can ruin an excellent program. Fans have no business telling a coach what to do, hell; they have no business telling athletic department what to do. Atheletic department can ask for their views on issues such as whether LSU should sell beer in the stadium or that or issues regarding parking; that is about it.

He is the coach. You can't let us fans tell him who to play and how to coach. He could be more diplomatic.
