Holman’s velocity is average at best. I would bet most Friday night starters in the SEC are in the 95mph+ pitch range.
Holman just works the zone mixing speed, spin and location. I find it fun watching a guy excel without overpowering speed.

This guy gets it. Velocity isn’t a necessity when you can locate and mix speeds, stay competitive with all your pitches. Hurd would be dangerous if he could figure this out

"Kinda like" Greg Maddux. NOT SAYING he's as good as GM, just saying his pitching style is similar. Looks like GM too.
