Oh, and basically any thread about the JaMarcus Russell's place in the pantheon of LSU quarterbacks, and specifically about his work ethic or love for LSU or whatever, usually elicits strong emotions.
Yeah this is the most baffling to me. Any mention of JR gets strong reactions from fans of JR and haters of JR, I can't count how many MF vs. JR threads there were..... I still can't believe what some people had said about JR.

Student section behavior and moving the Band got some good play on here.
The RP Varsity incident was, I think, only slightly more commented on than the RP fake ID/counterfeiter threads.
ETA: How did I miss the Tigerhoney nudes???

Joe McKnight going to USC seemed like it would never end.
+1
You'd think we had just lost barry sanders when that kid announced he was going to USC

I would have to say the rants reaction to the Monday night football debacle against UT.
This was huge. That was back when in the rants eyes, BO Pelini=Gene Chizic.

That was a little before my day...a few people here have mentioned it, so I guess it must have been a pretty big deal.
About Joe McKnight going to USC^^^^^^^^
You said you got here when Saban went to Bama, right?

If that UT game we lost in 05 were to happen these days, I think the site would melt.

No doubt. It was ugly then, before another NC.

I was...I guess I just typically don't have the maniacal reaction to recruiting that some people on here do. I must not have been paying attention.

I STILL to this day do not blame any coach or player for that. Those kids were so jacked up for that game that they all cramped up and were spent by the 3rd quarter. Have you EVER seen that happen, before, or since? Nothing our coaches could have done would have saved that game, big lead or not.

Good for you, then. You are better off that way.

I was extremely angry all the way until I got home to watch the replay. Then I saw. I saw the IV's, the substitutions, the tired, worn out kids fighting to hold on. I changed my mind quick.
