Then why the hell did you feel the need to post in this thread?

It's comical. If there were a basketball only board I bet they'd still come on there to say they don't care.

Has anybody heard anything about the details of this?

I haven't. They've kept this one pretty quiet.

Well this sucks. Hopefully indefinitely means "until conference play"

I've heard 3 rumors:

1. Grades - This one looks possible due to timing. Early suspension could have been due to midterm grades or missing class, current suspension due to final grades.

2. Drugs - While possible I think this is more due to the "indefinitely suspended" wording that was similar to Honey Badger.

3. Missing meetings/ team rules - I don't really think it is possible due to the language used by both Anthony and the school.

He was quoted yesterday:

"I know I have made mistakes and sometimes it takes mistakes in life to make you a better person," Hickey said. "I'm not perfect and need to move forward and make better decisions. I know I have let my family down, my team down and LSU down. I will come out of this a much stronger individual. I pray to be back in my LSU uniform as soon as I can."

WTF, man? Can we please field a complete team in one of the major sports? These behavior problems are getting ridiculous, especially since it seems to be a lot of our best players.

I'd hope he gets it right. There weren't any (reported) issues his freshman. Hope this is the end of it all (unless it is grades, then I hope he's able to get it right there too)

I would think it has to be #2 or #3 considering the amount of secrecy surrounding the reasons for his suspension as well as the working of "indefinitely"

You would probably hear something from the compliance department about being academically ineligible or something to that degree if it were grades

I saw Hickey at the Athletic Admin building this afternoon, while the team was practicing in the PMAC. He seemed a bit uneasy and was pacing around the lobby, but I was glad to see him on campus. Hoping he gets right and things work out.
