Defense. Enough with top ten bullshite. Aranda is the top defensive coordinator in football and finally has group of players that fit his system, have the brains, talent, and most importantly the desire and work ethic to put into place. They will be a top 3 defense and nasty in the form of the great defenses in the past. If anyone gets 20 points on them I will be surprised.

Special teams problems should be fixed.

A lot of the toughest games are in Baton Rouge.

Offense will not be as bad as everyone thinks. We have enough talent to score 3 TDS on most all of our opponents and that’s all it will take. Plus I expect our defense to score a lot and create a lot of turnovers.

Low expectations and desperation are the best mix for LSU, and always have been. LSU and Auburn always do better when they are in underdog role, and picked middle of the pack or worse. Like corned Tigers they both play better with a serious chip on their shoulder. The 09 team came out of compete chaos, bar fights, etc.

We will beat Bama this year because we must and it is time.

Plus for your negatigers this will probably force us to keep Alleva and screw us even more in the long term.

I'm taking it one game at a time.

Hard to argue with that.

9-3

I’ve never been so nervous about an opening game. If we lose, it could lead us down a very ugly and depressing path.
If we win, the teams confidence will be sky high and I see a 9 or 10 win season

I wasn't nervous at all a couple of years ago when we opened against Wisconsin, but I should've been.

I'm all for your optimism and the defense will be very good
but it's pretty difficult for a team to go the entire year without anyone scoring 20 on them

Yeah, especially if our offense happens to be really bad and the defense gets worn out by being in the field so much.
I don’t see that being the case though

I don't think it happens this year...or any year that we have Coach Joke running the show.

You missed last year? Coach Joke was FG kicker away from 11

So the goal is 9 wins now?

I actually think we go 10-2. The defense will be suffocating, and I think Burrow will be capable of moving the chains. Add to that better special teams play, and we will be tough to beat.

The Miami game is the key.

And despite what everyone thinks that never played or coached, you need some good luck. Good luck on not getting key injuries, weather conditions, etc not just the ball bouncing the correct way. Every championship team has been lucky at some point. Not all of it visible to fans. A knee pops back into place instead of out of socket on a drill, player twist his ankle but not bad, gf changes her mind and doesn’t brake up with starting QB right before big time. In Bama’s case planes fall from the sky right at the correct time to send LSUs program into disarray, and then to cause Okie state to lose focus and get a rematch, or last year Auburn suffers key injuries at end of season and can’t recover to beat Georgia again leaving door open for them, kid comes off bench to make miracle play. Auburn had kick 6, and miracle last minute wins over Georgia. Les Miles only natty had about ten things that had to happen to get them into BCS game and they all occurred.

We are going to beat Miami and be two and O heading into Jordan Hare where we are Auburn’s albatross just like Bama is ours.
Geaux Tigers and lets get lucky.
