I'm sure regardless, Krag is still going to have a big part in the offense. He just doesn't have the official title of OC and won't be calling the plays.

He will still be in the game planning sessions im sure.

Whatever happened to Billy Gonzales?

He's gotta be pissed...but Stud has seniority over him

Urban pissed him off at Florida for not being named OC and now history repeats itself at LSU.

I'd rather Stud stick with OL and give Gonzales (Passing Game Coordinator) a shot at OC, but it's Miles's decision. Guess he feels more comfortable with Stud as OC, for whatever reasons thet we're not privy to.

He knows how/when to call plays he's done it before. If this were 2008 you might go with the young guy but with this season's expectations and this schedule you go with experience.

No defense is played in that league. Teams just run up and down the field. Have you ever watched one of those games? It's brutal.

Stud/Gonzo/Les can handle the O if QB is better than last year.

Tri Co-OC's?

Hopefully, we're not going from the "Mallveto Monster" to the "Milestudzales Monstrosity"!

his resume is better then krags for OC position. Although i don't think will admit it.

Seems like stud would make a better oc to me from what i just read.

And we have a outstanding qb coach now

So stud does good at OC is he the OC after the season? If he does horrible is he gone? Love the number on the bio but this isnt Bowling Green. This is the LSU and we play in the SEC.

I say he seems like a good pick, our OL has always been pretty awesome FWIW, and those are some pretty impressive numbers from Bowling Green

The problem there was having dual DCs
no fan knows that this was the problem unless someone on the coaching staff told them this. dual coordinators are not unusual in the college game and they are frequently successful

So he was an OC and then became an OL coach. That doesn't seem to be a step in the right direction.

Stud has gone on record to say he didn't enjoy being a OC, possibly too much stress...

Either way, I think Stud has been heavily involved in gameplans since he has been here, it is one reason Miles put him on staff.

Not sure how big Krag stepping down is going to hurt. I hope we don't have a big change in philosophy but to be honest, I don't think LSU planned to have a very different offense from last year to begin with...

Do we know that Gonzales is pissed that he was passed over by someone who was more qualified?

But we are privy to them, whether you want to open your eyes and admit it or not. He's been with Miles for much longer, for one, so I'm sure Miles trusts him. But more importantly, he's actually been a coordinator--and a successful one at that. BG has not.

seems like a good resume
Remember we're talking Bowling Green, not and SEC school. Really sorry for K and family. Just read what the illness is and that sucks for anyone. I'll put him in my nightly prayers.

The Head Coach at BGSU makes about$150,00. That is probably less than what an assistant makes in the SEC.

I feel sorry for Krag. I think this would have been a match made in heaven.

I don't know what Les was thinking on this. Stud is probably the worst coach on the team. Give me BG or even FW. I hope I am wrong, but I think we are seriously screwed. We will be yelling can we have Crowton back.
