I saw the first interview he gave at his house this year and before it was over he made a point to say that the reason he had the Bama helmet there was because it was a gift from one of his friends.

Herbstreit, IMO, calls it as he sees it and is overall pretty fair and logical, especially compared to some of the goons they have working over at the mothership covering college football.
