the altercation following the discussion of the one year suspended is what earned him the "permanent" dismissal. everyones emotions were running high and cooler heads prevailed over the next couple of days

"Permanent" means for all time.

bullshite. One time I had to use 2 bottles of finger nail polish remover to remove PERMANENT marker.

this could well be construed as an open letter to the gutless assholes (and you know who you are) on the rant. read it...think about it...absorb it. you, the rant and the LSU community will be a better place for it.

I'm vouching for what he's right about. He's wrong about some stuff, but not everything. As is LSU.

he intent of the column in accusing LSU of being inconsistent seems to hang its hat on the word "dismissed" as being synonymous with "irrevocable", which according to the "American Heritage Dictionary" means "impossible to retract or revoke.

However, "permanent", which Miles answered affirmatively when asked if it was, is synonymous with...well, permanent.

I agree with the first part of your post, but not this second part.

If your team fricks up, you have a right to voice your displeasure. You don't have to be all rah-rah when they get it wrong. Is there a line that many people here cross? Yeah, but you also don't have to silently suffer.

Not talking about anything in particular. Just a general thing people say that bothers me.

You ever "permanently" break up with a girlfriend 4 times?

Bingo. As did Bahnsen, the compliance director. You know, the guy who is in charge of telling LSU who is eligible and who isn't.

GG's report? Miles admitted it was in response to the second question in the presser.

I very well could be mixing up reports, but I was thinking of the one where they asked Miles if TM would be back on the team and Miles would only say he is off the team this year.

this presser was days after the original presser.

everyone was banking on Banshen's answer in the origianl presser as the end all be all. He made the statement that TM7 was permanantly ineligble after being asked that by a media member. IMO, it was made in good faith because AT THAT TIME, TM7 told them he was going to leave LSU rather than serve his 1 year suspension, thus he was gone. However, TM7 changed his mind. That's when Schad's report came out. Then after all the specualtion started GGs stance was "they said he was permanantly ineligible, so it must be true", when in fact the status quo had changed and he was reporting old news.

GG is wrong more than he is right - way more.

He is a whinny, thin skinned little weasel who likes to dish it out but can't take it. Well, he needs to grow a set to be worthy to cover LSU in my opinion.

And I pretty much have the same opinion of anybody who defends him on here. especially after he ran an article comparing what happened at PSU with the TM7 situation at LSU.

This! Hence the indignation and pussy whining from him ever since.

This

I swear it's like trying to explain colors and shapes to children on here with some people.

Miles himself said it was a "fluid situation"

What HC tells the truth to reporters? Les was trolling the whole time.

Yeah but I was wrong in thinking Miles never said permanent. With all the chaos, I had never read where he said it. But it is obvious that at the moment they thought it was permanent, TM very likely told them, "I'm not sitting out, I'll transfer and go pro." That would explain the permanent statements. When he came back and asked if he could still sit out and have coming back on the team as an option, the permanent was no longer permanent.
