This is just sad man.

How a university such as LSU cannot get it together and produce a better product for fans to eat during games is atrocious.

It's not the easiest thing in the world to do but frick it's not the hardest either. I've done it. A quality person in charge of LSU concessions could produce a quality product at all LSU athletic events and generate a profit at the same time.

It's not that hard if you want to do it and put the system in place.

But LSU doesn't give a frick about it's fans. That is the most disappointing thing about the whole food at events bullshite with this athletic department.

They don't fricking care. Because it can be done, they CHOOSE to not do it.

Yes, this really angers me. IMO the whole vibe of a sporting event includes these type of quality options, i.e. food. You don't have to agree but LSU has been blowing a major opportunity to create goodwill by just pissing shite like this away.

For main dishes, skip the school concessions and go to one of the vendors there:

-Chick-Fil-A
-Papa John’s
-Burgersmith

Stuff like that.

Seriously, not trying to be an arse, but you will be there about 2-21/2 hrs? You can’t go 2-3 hours with out eating something?

At the Arkansas game, I saw bunch of students with Popeyes boxes. Is there a Popeyes in the stadium?

That may have been one of those first 500 in the door promotions.

Eta; or just a student promotion

My wife and I have remained happy by buying nothing but waters at LSU athletic events, MBB, fball, and baseball. Been that way for decades. We prefer restaurants for food.

Do people really judge concession fan food? Come on, unless you’re at a minor league ballpark where they pride themselves on some unique concoction, yOu should expect hotdogs, nachos with cheese from a can pretzels or popcorn and some soda. These ‘concession stand snob’ posts are unbelievable to me.

How about just hit Sammy’s, Parrains, or The Chimes prior?

Thanks fellas for the advice. I'll probably just get some popcorn when I get there.

We stopped at the McDonald's and Slidell and got some "Choke n Puke"

Best bang for your buck, IMO.

Yep, a little mustard, ketchup and some jalapeños and it can be pretty tasty.
