Haven't seen an explanation on this yet (Baseball this weekend)

Why do we play Air Force only twice and Alcorn State in-between? This is really strange to me.

Both teams coming in this weekend, almost like a tournament but not really.
Alcorn and Air Force play each other twice Friday morning and Saturday morning, and LSU plays each of them in the night caps on Friday and Saturday, then play an extra game against AF

just a semi round robin type thing going on

Yes (well there's supposed to be but the rain may change things up), think it's 11:00am first pitch. Was considering heading over there if it isn't raining after I get out of class just to catch a few innings

When the series was set up, there was a different head coach. The current HC played for Mainieri, then coached with him at Air Force. Mainieri said he didn't want to coach against his friend and wanted to cancel the whole series. The solution was the current 3 team 'semi-tourney.'

Similar series when ND and Michigan come in. We papyrus one per day but they each have a doubleheader day
