It's not like they scheduled Florida instead of a bad non-conference team. They'll just play them at a different time, like this week against Southern Miss.

Southern Miss is a midmajor, capable of the upset. But I think all of these schools should schedule stronger out of conference schools in other strong conferences. All of them have softies in the schedule for their reasons I guess.

LSU wins by 70.
Southern lost to Alcorn State. Alcorn State lost to Stephen F. Austin 60-7 that season. Beating a bunch of HBCUs doesn't mean anything.

No, you don’t get it. Seriously. LSU’s SOS is consistently even with, if not higher than Bama’s. Bama has 3 OOC cupcakes (Mercer, Southern Miss, NM State) and we have McNeese, CMU and LA Monroe. And UCLA would destroy Miami.
BTW, we play Florida every year in case you didn’t know. Bama plays fricking Tennessee every year.
