I went to the LSU/Northwestern St basketball game recently. The band played "Neck" and the student section became an interesting study in mob mentality.
The chant started as normal "Heeeeyyyy - Oooooooo" and was followed by a garbled, sheepish chant. (You could almost see the wheels spinning realizing that there would be some accountability with such a small group.) Next line, "Heeeeeyyyy- Ooooooooo" ....."Talkin out the side of your neck!!"
The band played it two more times in the course of the game and it remained vulgar free. It was kinda like watching a curtain being pulled back on an internet tough guy.

I was a "frat boy" at LSU. Not only have I gotten older, "frat boys" have gotten a lot younger. And a lot more like the Dekes always were.

Yep, and if you go to Yale, you need to be very careful wandering the neighborhoods around the campus. The area around the University of Chicago is a country club suburb by comparison.

funny you say that bc when I watch replays and they pan the student sec, I dont see frat boys... I see just regular students.

It's inevitable that the SS will only decrease anyway. More $$$ for season tickets from adults and more lotteries for students. That's the economic math that Alleeva will demonstrate over the course. The SS may be loud and a backbone as its always been, but in this day in age, they're not needed more than ticket price increase and more seats in NEZ converted to TAF seats. I wouldn't be surprised if the SS was cut in half by 2014.

I'm not dumb at all. Your name calling makes you just as bad as the students. I got my education from LSU and I have donated LOTS of money to TAF. As a former tuition payer, I have the right to comment on the current state of affairs.
My EDUCATION is what gave me the ability to buy the tickets and pay the fees.
If I continuously chanted "Suck that Tiger Dick" in my section, I KNOW LSU would get wind of it and start revoking the ticket PRIVILEGE.
It has nothing to do with me being dumb or a bitch as you so non-eloquently put it.

The game would not be the same with out the student section doing all those things. You don't realize it but a lot of student sections do the same things. They are drunk college kids, what more do you expect?

It's unacceptable for that chant to be heard on national TV. It's unacceptable for it to be heard by kids.
I could hear it when I sat in a friend's seats on the west side and I could hear it in my seats in Section 244.
Enough is enough! It might be funny to a pre-pubescent child but it's not funny to adults.
Don't try to justify their bad behavior and lack of respect to authority and the powers that be.

You obviously suffer from reading comprehension. I am not complaining about the cost of my tickets. It is what it is. I was doing a comparison of what I pay vs. what they pay. I don't pay as much as those on the east or west sidelines, either.
The point is, the students are getting a great deal on tickets and should be mindful of that and show some respect for others and not act like they moved to campus from a trailer park.

Question, have you ever heard another team's fans say that LSU fans are assholes and treat their fans like shite? I know I have never heard that from opposing fans, I've only heard that our fans are great and show them great respect. You're not stopping anything by bitching about it.

Yes, I have heard that LSU fans have been assholes to opposing fans, but that isn't the discussion here. The discussion is the chanting of "suck that tiger dick" when Neck is played.
The students don't act like that at basketball and it shouldn't be tolerated at football.

"Neck" is the reason why my family from Georgia loved the LSU/Alabama game, they thought it was funny and cool to sing.
